hey choir! i'm glad to see all the sec 3s taking charge today, i think all of you are doing a great job. The seniors have a lot of confidence in you all and we believe all of you will be a good example for your juniors to follow. Anyway, I was googling the seal lullaby to hear how it sounds like and I came across Eric Whitacre's blog. That's the composer of the seal lullaby.

well done for the gold. to be honest, you all did extremely well. and even its a gold, to me its a gold with honours! next year is international competition, so continue to work hard ya! it was simply breath taking watching you all perform today, and the songs simply touched our(seniors) hearts! we're all very very proud of you all(: every section did well!

UPDATE: Remember that although the conductors gave you a group to sing with, they will be listening to your voices individually so be sure to do well on your own as well as as a group. I hope all of you can go for SYF but it really depends on YOU and whether you want to put in that effort and sacrifice certain things in order to improve the overall choral standard. If you can please check out the grouping list on the notice board too, I put a note there.

Here are your groupings! Be sure to get together and practice all the songs alright? Cause Mrs On will probably do auditions on Friday and Mr Yong will definitely do auditions on Monday. If there are any questions, tag please and I'll check back and answer. love, allison

Hello everyone.

I thought I'd better log on and post something before i forget the password.

Its CNY tomorrow, and as usual we all love to nag about not eating too much of those delicious throat-killing goodies. Drink lots of water [or PINK DOLPHIN THAT SOMEONE BANNED IN SCHOOL.] Protect your throats and if you're tired from collecting all the money, take out your scores and memorise the dynamics. Lol, your relatives won't think you're nuts, trust me.

SYF's gonna come super fast so we've got to take every opportunity to get better. Please stay focused during practice and stop talking about irrelevant things LOUDLY.

Remember Friday's practice, and turn up on time :)

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder, there's practice on Tuesday, 9th Dec. Please come, and get all your choir friends to come too, because if you don't appear, you won't be performing for the orientation. Please take the responsibility as a choir member and come for practice. Attendance has been poor for the last practices. Practices are only 2 hours and in the morning so it won't take up that much time. We've already tried to make it more convenient, so please come okay.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Hi choir, hope you've received the message to come to this blog for the December schedule. Hahah, finally, an actual use for this blog.

The practice dates are as follows:

2nd December, Tuesday
4th December, Thursday
9th December, Tuesday
11th December, Thursday
16th December, Tuesday
18th December, Thursday
19th December, Friday

All practices will be held from 10AM-12PM.

If the earlier practices are fruitful enough, the later practices may not be necessary.

Please take note that you have to come for these practices, unless under valid circumstances (i.e. overseas). In the event that you are unable to attend any practice, please take the initiative to inform your SL in advance, if not, it will be considered as absent without valid reason. We will be taking action against such offences. We hope you see the importance of these practices in our 2009 performance, and take these practices seriously.

Please help to pass the message to those who do not know about it yet.

Today's rehearsal was quite fun and good. Remember to sing out loud oh and try to memorise the Jap song second verse. Its really cannot hear at that part. Hahah, DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR ESPLANADE PASSES TOMORROW. Speaking from experience, seriously don't. Have a good rest tonight and drink lots of water. Rehydrate! Okay, got to go.

Another update :D

Today's practice was not too bad i guess, good job choir! Even though Mr Yong said that the set piece is by far the most difficult, it won't be a problem for us right? We can do it.

Please remember to keep the scores properly and do not lose it! Also revise what we've learnt today. When you're watching tv, eating, or DOTA-ing, just put the score there and look through. Hahah. Don't forget to learn the power of the dream. Here's the YouTube video. This version is by Celine Dion 'cos its the only one i could find. Click!

Okay i have a feeling no one reads this blog. Come on people, this was supposed to be a common site for all of us to connect in the cyber world. Do visit here more often and spread the word. This site is going to be updated regularly, i promise.

HI CHOIR :))

I know those who have been tagging here have been waiting for an update since forever... So today i am going to post! Excited? You better be.

So, has anyone memorised the two new songs yet? Haha, not that you're expected to, but i see no harm in it. The Power of the Dream song is quite nice right? And the other Jap song too. Let's do a good job for the concert, ya?

Don't forget to come for Choir Practice on Monday, 3 Nov, 1.30- 4.30pm. Allison and Jeremy won't be there because they've got some leadership transformational workshop thing.

I've also updated the committee, practices and special events. Hope its useful :)

we(the bass + mr ho) went to NYDC that friday. and guess hwat, it rained so all of us, about 6, were running in the rain!! wall wet. and only mr ho that clever one brought umbrella so only he dint get wet. and we all were drenched, especially lincoln. hehe. first time i saw lincoln so nice lrh. *oops* he serve his senoir food leh! and refuse to let me serve him, but i did at the end. haha! then we talk and talk, the food was great and i enjoyed tat dinner. and asfter the dinner, our SL brought us to coffebeans and treated us. so kind! hehe. thankyou Ming Rui and Mr Ho.!
